Shirou

Still angry at the man's intrusion, Shirou was working on his meal, the cold wind whistling through the holes in the wall that he knew he would need to fix soon. Until, suddenly, he felt something soft rub against his cheek. Looking down, he saw a familiar, blood covered ribbon, his eyes widening in response as a sense of fear gripped him. He instinctively recoiled at the sight, even as his mind told him that it was surely a trick of some kind, that there was no way the man could have found his wife this quickly and, even if he had, the ribbon couldn't possibly have reached here already. But, despite that, he knew that he had to be sure. So, this time making sure to turn off the heat on his food so as not to burn it, he took out his phone and selected his wife's number, attempting to call her.

Shirou

As the man came closer, Shirou tensed up, preparing to react at a moment's notice if the man showed any sign whatsoever of attacking him. The closer the man got, the more tense Shirou became, the distance between them rapidly becoming far too close for comfort given the man's earlier hostility. But, then, to Shirou's slight surprise, the man let out a slight chuckle, before admitting to his mistake, apologising and, then, without further ado, leaving, smashing through the wall of the house once more. Angered by the man's total lack of respect for his home, Shirou glared angrily in the direction of the hole in the wall for a few moments, before relaxing, aware that, as annoying as it was to have his house wrecked, things could have been much, much worse. As it was, he'd managed to convince the man to leave and, what was more, he'd also convinced him that he was looking in the wrong place.

Sighing, he returned to the stove, trying his best to salvage the food that he'd been so rudely interrupted whilst cooking, intending to do something about the holes in the house afterwards, even if Sakura was somewhat better at the magecraft necessary to do so than he was.

Sakura

"I understand", Sakura replied, giving the girl a gentle smile. "It must be very difficult to come to a place with such a different culture, especially for someone as young as you."

"And, yes, the compensation I received in return for providing a copy of my soul was very generous. But, even so, it makes me glad that you seem to be a kind-hearted and happy girl. I am, after all, partially responsible for your existence, I would hate to see that you were miserable, or that you were being used to inflict harm on innocents", she said, her voice once again taking on a slightly maternal tone.

Shirou

Despite the fear that he felt as the powerful man began to approach, Shirou stood his ground, a sense of relief coming over him as the man took his claim not to know Sakura at face value. Yet, he could tell that the man was still a threat and, as such, he held the twin swords which he used as his main weapons in front of him, ready to defend himself against any attack that might come. Hearing the man's words, his concern grew once more, but he still did not waver, instead responding to the man's statement.

"The only thing that is strange is that you smashed a big hole in the side of my house and attacked me", he said, clearly irritated.

"Now, given that this Sakura girl who you're looking for is clearly not here, there's no reason for you to be here either. All you're doing is wasting time, both mine and yours", he added.

Sakura

Despite the embarrassment that she felt, once she'd heard the elf's sheepish response, she allowed her to continue her "greeting", her own face blushing red as she felt the heat building up inside the other girl, her own body heating up in response to the erotic sensation of having her sensitive elf-like ears rubbed. Then, once the girl had finished, she stepped back, noticing the surprised look on the faces of some of the people surrounding them, as well as the fact that her other self was looking to see how people reacted. Not wanting to upset or hurt the girl, Sakura gave her a gentle, almost maternal smile, and spoke up.

"Well, I wouldn't say it's necessarily inappropriate, but it's certainly not how humans would greet each other, and it's considerably more ..intimate than I'm used to", she said, softly.

Sakura

Sakura felt a sudden jolt of pleasure run through her body as the elf began to rub her ear against Sakura's. Immediately, she recoiled backwards, a look of shock forming on her face.

"W..what are you doing?" she asked, in a shocked but not angry tone.

After all, whilst the girl's behaviour was highly inappropriate, Sakura strongly suspected that it was some kind of cultural difference and, given that this girl had only been born a few months ago, it made sense that she might be a little naive.

Sakura

Sakura smiled at the elf girl's response, waiting patiently as the clearly-nervous girl turned around and got her first look at the person whose soul she'd been created from. She watched with interest as the girl's shyness morphed into confusion and then, finally, a look of understanding formed on her face, her mannerisms only adding to the feeling that Sakura had that this girl was indeed created from a copy of her soul. Then, after a few moments of silence as Sakura waited for the elf to respond, the girl finally spoke up, confirming what Sakura had suspected.

"Yes, it is quite surprising that we'd run into each other like this, Sakura said, giving the girl a gentle smile, before bowing politely. "I'm Sakura, by the way. It's nice to meet you."

Shirou

Shirou was surprised to see the spike evaporate into what seemed to be a cloud of blood, the red mist seeping around the house. However, he kept his concentration, focussing on the man who had broken into his house as the traps triggered. To Shirou's surprise, a small tendril of what seemed to be blood came from the man's fingers, swatting away the tendrils of magic from the trap as if they were nothing. Then, the man spoke up, his praise of Shirou's fighting skill making it clear that he wasn't taking this whole thing entirely seriously.

Still, it was clear that the man was a threat and, unlike him, Shirou had no intentions whatsoever of playing around. This man had broken into his house and attacked him, he clearly needed to defend himself with full power. Yet, even despite his best efforts, he could barely manage to react when the man stomped down, before charging towards him. Shirou did his best to evade but, to his surprise, the man made no attempt to attack him, instead simply rushing behind him, crashing through the wall and causing further damage to their home, something that made Shirou even less keen on this man.

Then, the man addressed him once more. Shirou ignored his bullshit excuses, not even slightly interested in bantering with his attacker, but his follow-up question left Shirou shocked and worried. The latter because of the fact that this man who, presumably, was some kind of mercenary, was searching for his wife, and the former because he had used a form of Sakura's former adoptive family's name that hadn't been in use for centuries. For a moment, Shirou considered his response, torn between wanting to know the man's intentions and not wanting to put his wife in danger but, ultimately, there was only one answer he could give.

"Sorry, I don't know anyone with that name", he said, entirely truthfully.

Not that he had any objection in principle to lying, of course, but he suspected the man knew more than he was letting on, and openly lying might offend the man's sense of "honour".

Sakura

As Sakura walked around, looking for a gift for Shirou, she felt a weirdly-familiar magical signature in the distance. Looking in the direction of it, her enhanced senses allowed her to pick up an odd commotion in the distance. Taking a closer look, she noticed that the source of it was a scantily-clad, chocolate-skinned girl walking around in little more than a bikini, a look which was seemingly appreciated by many of the people surrounding her. What was more, the girl had purple hair that was shockingly-similar in colour to her own, and a strikingly-similar magical energy signature.

Curious, Sakura moved towards the girl. As she did so, she began to pick up more and more of her features, and her interest grew ever-higher. First, she noticed the pointy ears that marked the girl out as an elf. In itself, that was not all that surprising but, as she came ever-closer, Sakura began to realise that this girl was, in many respects, the spitting image of her. Whilst her ears and skin colour were different and her eyes were red rather than purple, her hair was almost identical and, as Sakura looked down at herself, she noticed that the woman's body shape was surprisingly similar to her own, too. But, most of all, she had almost the exact same facial structure as Sakura did.

Confused, Sakura moved closer, checking the woman out. As she did so, she began to recall her meeting with Arcaena, and how she'd allowed her to take a copy of her soul in return for the changes she'd made. Could it perhaps be that this elf had been produced from that copy? If so, then this girl was essentially her daughter, or perhaps her twin sister. Regardless, she definitely needed to find out.

As such, she walked towards the clothes shop, noticing as she got closer that the scantily-clad girl was seemingly selecting various outfits to try on. What was more, it was clear from the selection that she'd made that her tastes in clothing seemed to match Sakura's own, all of the outfits being ones that Sakura herself would happily wear. Further, as she came nearer, she couldn't help but notice that the girl was somewhat uncomfortable with the way that the people around her were staring at her, their eyes clearly focussing on her crotch and her ample breasts.

Finally, Sakura reached the shop and, wanting to assist the girl who was seemingly born from her soul, she walked towards her.

"Hello", she said, softly. "Do you need some help?"

Shirou

As Shirou continued to make his simple meal, taking pleasure in the process of cooking even without his beloved wife there to assist him, he suddenly had a disconcerting feeling, one that made him feel that his life was in imminent danger. Reacting quickly, he put down the utensils he was holding and summoned up his twin swords. Turning around, he saw a large red crystal hanging in the air, his eyes widening as he suddenly heard the sound of the bounded field indicating an intruder, someone with hostile intent. Sending a mental signal, he activated the traps dotted around the house, shadow traps that would fire out spikes of shadow if anyone other than he or Sakura came close, and others which would trap anyone foolish enough to step on them. Then, just as he heard an apologetic voice call out, he dodged desperately to the side, doing his best to avoid the attack, even as he looked around to find the person who was assaulting him.

Shirou

Normally, Shirou would have gone with Sakura to Columbia but, aware that she wanted to get him a gift and not having anything he needed himself, he had instead elected to remain home and take advantage of the spare time to perform a few chores around the house. Now, though, it was lunchtime and, as such, Shirou was making what was, by his standards, a simple lunch. Some Miso soup, along with some fried rice made with last night's leftovers. Yet, even as he cooked the basic meal, he was pondering what to cook for his wife on her return, the thought of providing the woman he loved with a delicious meal bringing a smile to his face.

Sakura

Wanting to get a present for Shirou for the upcoming holiday, Sakura had headed to a large shopping district in Columbia, one which possessed a huge variety of possible gifts, far more than were available in Longdale. Unsure what to get him, she was instead browsing idly, her newly-acquired enhanced vision allowing her to pick items of interest out from a considerably longer distance than she otherwise would have been able to.

Sakura

Sakura listened with interest to the options available to her. She didn't really want any of the physical changes, but some of the enhancements that were on offer sounded extremely tempting. Improved senses, darkvision, faster healing, a stronger immune system, all of those sounded extremely useful. And, whilst she wasn't aiming to raise a child right now, the thought that she would be able to do so one say was extremely appealing. Plus, a part of her was intrigued by the idea of increased sensitivity, wondering exactly what that might mean.

"Some of those things sound very interesting, thank you. Darkvision would be extremely useful, as would improved aight and hearing, faster healing and a better immune system. And, whilst I don't want children right now, I would like the option one day", she said.

"Would all of that be possible? I don't really want any physical changes, I'd like to remain looking much the same as I do now. Nor do I want life extension, unless you can offer the same to my husband and any children we might have. The idea of outliving everyone I know and love doesn't appeal to me at all."

Then, Sakura blushed slightly.

"Oh, and you mentioned something about increased sensitivity. Could you explain that further, please?" she said, thoughts of having even more fun with her beloved husband filling her mind.

Sakura

Sakura smiled as she heard Arceana's response, the elf's words and actions ending any uncertainty she had about the whole thing. Arceana seemed to have nothing but good intentions, both for her and for the copy that she intended to make. And the way that she trembled with excitement as she awaited the response made the thought of refusing seem akin to kicking a rather enthusiastic puppy.

"I think that it's a wonderful idea. You seem like you can be trusted with a copy of my soul, and what you are offering in return is just too good to pass up", she said with a smile, before pausing.

"But, what you said about my affinity has left me uncertain what it is that I actually want. Having my natural abilities returned would be hugely beneficial, but I'm worried about what I might lose. Would you be able to explain what the possibilities are in more detail, so I can decide which one to go for?"

Sakura

Sakura frowned.

"Yes, it's not comfortable, but I'm used to it", she replied. "And it sounds like you wouldn't be able to remove the worms, which is a little disappointing."

"Still, being able to use my magic to its natural potential would be nice. But it sounds like your process would remove any of the abilities I've obtained as a result of being a Matou, too, which could be a problem, since my knowledge of Tohsaka magecraft is limited and my natural affinity is very niche. Would such a process really make me stronger?"

"And, as for the copy of my soul, what would you do with it? Would it be sentient, and would it suffer? I couldn't live with myself if I knowingly condemned another person to a life of misery", she finished.
