"Very well. Erm, MORTAL, I DEMAND YOU TO GRANT US ACCESS TO A MOVER!!" He ordered the lady with a fiery roar.

"Very well, that will be ten dollars for a ticket."

The incredulous lord cried out in outrage, fire and flame bursting from his terrifying armor. "T-TEN!? YOU IMPUDENT MORTAL, HOW DARE YOU DEMAND A LORD! YOU SHALL PAY FOR YOUR ARROGANCE!!!!!!"

"H-Here!" He mumbled, holding out twenty dollars that were so graciously lent to him by a couple of his gentlebones.

"Would you take a popcorn and soda with that?" She asked.

"OF COURSE!!"
The dragon felt further exasperation at the Count's antics, for he couldn't take the skeletally-armored man seriously after he had fanboyed at not one but two dragons. Granted, the wingless one had no room to talk when it came to Bellatanus. Either way.

"Um, Count, do you even know what a mover is? And must you be so loud? I am not speaking of it to scold you like a parent, but to consider others around you, myself included." He pleaded for a volume change. He really didn't like noise, and the Count seemed oblivious to how upsetting it was. Granted, he had scared the humans with his mere presence which brought no small amount of shame and dejectedness to the young dragon.

"Of course not! She is a loyal and faithful subject, and a precious friend. I don't believe she'd be that cruel." He stated abruptly, shaking his head to reasure the great creature. He fidgeted nervously, but then averted his eyes to the posters displayed.

"Are you interested in those movers?" He asked.
He turned to the posters and back to the skull-armored man, "I suppose so? I don't know what a mover is." Really he was just looking to try and find something active to do, and being inside with frightened, wary humans wasn't exactly a pleasant activity in his book.

"But if you'd like to, I don't really mind."

The woman left graciously and swift of foot, and the wingless one stepped a short distance away from Grayskull. "It would seem you have a follower, sir. I apologize again for interrupting and I hope it didn't sour your moment with her."

He looked the count up and down, assessing the sepulchral armor and the man's face. "I admit I assumed much in our encounter, but I was not expecting a skeleton behind the robes and mask. Is it an irony that you are such, or through purpose? Ah. You'll forgive me for some discomfort and awkwardness, I have found this Nexus to be a labyrinth," he paused a moment, "your companion's own armor disconcerted me. In truth I hope you can give me some level of assurance, as amicable acquaintance, that my own bones are not a trophy she is seeking."

The blonde raised a brow at the dragon that had just walked into the theater. She considered asking the Ahamkara but all that she felt was a feeling of utter disdain at the very thought of the question. Well, perhaps that was fair. She wouldn't enjoy it asking if some primitive half formed monkey was closely related to her.

Instead, she nodded her head at the wingless drake. "It was well earned. However, I must resolve this issue with Lord Greyskull first. If you would give us but a moment to finish?"
Ah, he had interrupted something. "I apologize for interrupting, then. I assure you that no rudeness was intended." He nodded in curt deference.

However, just as he was about to resond, he heard a mighty voice boom behind him along with the abrupt opening of gates.

"AAAAAAAAAAHH!!!" He cried out in terror, nearly jumping in fright surprise. He turned around and witnessed once again the mighty dragon.

"A-Aptera!? What are you doing here?"
He could only tilt his head in mild exasperation at Grayskull's cry of alarm. He moved forward before sitting on his haunches and replying. "The library had a lot of information that will probably be helpful, but like Bellatanus wagered it was convoluted and mismatched. I got bored, so I decided to see how you were doing. Interesting choice in armor," he nodded to both in turn.

Streets of Nexus City

He finally decided to forgo an awkward farewell to the other three and took to the streets once more, following the scent left behind by the boisterous, mysterious humanoid named Grayskull. He was still saddened that he freaked out some of the people as he walked through the doors into a building.

The abnormal pair he found where the Count's scent "ended" made his skin crawl, but for different reasons. He recognized a piece of Grayskull's cloak and tone of voice, but it seemed the noble had decked himself with skulls and armor. If he hadn't dealt with worse because of Ares-Mars, he'd probably be scared. He still wasn't a fan of the man's volume control. That his "face" was gone and revealed the man to be a skeleton didn't bother him much.

The woman beside him, however, sent shivers up his spine - for quite different reasons than Ur did. She was wearing bone. Dragon or saurian bone. Instincts screamed at him to run or punish the defiler of kin, but he was more rational than instinctual. Just because the woman wore bone that could be kin does not make her an enemy. A goodly portion of his species was hyper aggressive and greedy, the wisdom coming from a long lifespan done in by voracious pride.

To be honest he just wanted to do something, even engaging with a loud undead and a potential threat upon his life. He called out. "How goes it with your and yours, Count Grayskull?"

Unmotivated to continue unless someone wants to engage Aptera in interaction.
Otherwise might just remove him and make another PC.

Nexus Library #? of #?, with William (?), Ur (NPC) (?), and [Librarian] (NPC) (?)

Bellatanus had brought them to a library and Greyskull left soon after. Rather than feel deterred by not knowing the librarian or interacting with the others, the wingless one perused each bookcase carefully. He was saddened to see that there weren't any scrolls in the sections he desired information from, but the numerous maps kept his attention intense. But he was also terribly confused, because Nexus - as Bellatanus had warned him - brought in a multitude of worlds. At random.

What little overlapping constants appeared throughout each map were unhelpful at best and irritating more often than he could deal with. Maps were supposed to make sense and be helpful, even if deciphering or translating was required.

It didn't help that he had embarrassed himself in front of Bellatanus a handful of times, and she had disappeared in the aisles. William seemed to have found things that interested him, so that was at least good.

He wasn't sure what to do anymore. Maybe try and map out the current Nexus? Find a way to redeem himself in Bellatanus' eyes? Help William? Look for trouble and chaos and try and bring peace and order? Ugh.

His embarassment deepened when he realized he had made such a pitiful sound. He silently thanked William for asking a question, but winced when the young mage continued and addressed Bellatanus. And then the plant spirit-thing latched around his neck in fright. Okay. Things were not going as planned. He had wanted to find a library, met William, ran into Bellatanus and the plant-thing and now it was spiralling into a near-comedic disarray.

He decided it would be best if he took action in this interaction and not continue to make a fool of himself and appear so subservient. He bowed out of the neckhold and stepped forward while addressing William and Bellatanus, clearing his throat...several times. He stepped deliberately and with intent, taking on the stature he used as a divine courier.

He bowed his head for a second to Bellatanus and spoke. "He does have a point, but I'm certain that your time is precious, Lady Bellatanus. I take it that the transaction of blood would be due upon arrival, if not here and now? I have no qualms with either."

He was about to respond in positive to Bellatanus' request when the regal human was replaced by a queenly dragon of gorgeous purple - shades he couldn't quite put words to. Oh. His face heated up across the ridge of his snout. Bellatanus was either a very powerful shapeshifter or this was her true form. Any way he looked at the situation he felt embarrassed. Embarrassed for not recognizing a fellow dragon, if that was the status of things, and embarrassed to find himself flat-footed around a dragoness. Given what little she had shared, his guesses at royal status were not wrong at all, and here he was - a wingless dragon, a drake, working as a courier and caravan guard before a queen.

He tried to speak but the only sound that he ushered from his vocal chords was some sort of cobbled together squeak and yelp in surprise. He more than likely appeared a complete fool, now. Oh no.

He addressed Grayskull first, "Ah, that would explain it, I suppose. Extinction of dragonkind..." He thought of the different types of dragons on his home, known and unknown - benevolent and malevolent. He involuntarily shuddered at the thought. If anything, mosquitoes deserve extinction, he mentally opined. "That's not a pleasant thought. At all. Please don't be so loud if you can help it, though." He nodded at the strange plant spirit.

At Bellatanus' address, he tapped a talon on the ground. "I see no trouble with it, if Grayskull acts with the manners he just displayed."

William seemed to be in shock and Bellatanus was most certainly displeased with the newcomer. The wingless one was caught between curiosity, not wanting to irritate Bellatanus by hearing "Grayskull" out, and asking the boisterous being to speak with less volume. He had never been one for loud noises - noise in general, really.

"While she could say it with more kindness, I admit your volume is getting on my nerves. Do you happen to have a point? Your noise is rude and if all you wanted to say was 'oh, look, a dragon'-" He paused. "Well, that's rather rude, too. My name is Lycodrake Aptera." Pointing in turn he introduced the others. "Her name is Bellatanus, and his: William." He emphasized the names, in the hopes that the being would quiet down.

Bellatanus was noticeably annoyed with the newcomer, while the wingless one had to share in the confused, stunned expression William was wearing. A blue-garbed...nature spirit of some sort had rushed up and shouted such a question. Not normal behavior. Maybe some sort of lunacy? He couldn't begrudge Bellatanus' lighting of a flame. Shouting in someone's face tended to be a hostile action, one which he, personally, disliked. Noise is bad.

He opened his mouth to reply, pausing to register Bellatanus' actual comment, and responded. "Yes. And you are...what, exactly?"

Why hadn't he noticed buildings showing up? Was he just that homesick and oblivious to such a detail, or was it in the nature of Nexus to conceal such a phenomenon? A larger, older library with information from an eye-witness was exactly what would help him sate his thirst for knowledge regarding Nexus, even if it would take a while.

"With the offer on the table, I think I would regret not taking it." He made certain to pause. "However, I would like to warn you - the mark my progenitors' likely have wrought on my blood may lead to...unpleasant consequences. As we are from different worlds, I would implore you to be cautious. Please don't take this as ingratitude, Bellatanus."

The wingless one turned away in embarassment, "My apologies, Bellatanus. I hope, at least, that you understand my caution. I did not mean to insult or annoy you with my query, merely to clarify." His posture belied his nervousness, from a very slight twitch of a talon tapping the ground to the agitated swish of his tail. He had no intentions of making an enemy of Bellatanus, and hopefully he hadn't.

"If my lifeblood would appease the bargain you have in mind, and you find it equal trade, then I will part with it, lady Bellatanus."
