Title: Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey
Post by: Nerroth on March 15, 2014, 05:28:25 AM
COSMOS: A SPACETIME ODYSSEY - Coming in 2014 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFF2ECZ8m1A#ws)

A sequel of sorts to Carl Sagan's Cosmos: A Personal Voyage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmos:_A_Personal_Voyage), the first episode of Neil deGrasse Tyson's take on Cosmos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmos:_A_Spacetime_Odyssey) aired last weekend (in Canada and the US, at least).

Any thoughts on it so far?

Well, it looks interesting, but unfortunately I don't have the ability to watch it (at least on TV), so I can't say much....

Apparently it's being aired by the National Geographic channel (http://natgeotv.com/uk/cosmos-a-spacetime-odyssey) in the UK, but they don't seem to be hosting the episodes online...

Yeah, I don't have National Geographic (or, indeed, even a TV licence at the moment). If I want to watch something I generally watch it online, and I get news from the internet as well.

The most recent episode, The Immortals, has a reference to
The Epic of Gilgamesh
in it, for those so interested.
