Role Playing / D&D 4th Edition

So since the other thread's been dead for awhile and I feel inspired, let's play 4th Edition!
Total noobs are welcome. Well, we need one person who knows their 4E sheet to make sure we're on track, but newbies are welcome. Probably doing this via Roll 20 might be the best idea, but people can vote for whether they want a more IRC thing or a play by post thing.
So, what we're needin' here is some players and a GM. If all else fails, I can do the GM thang, but for that we'll need someone for sure that knows their 4E sheet to make sure I'm making the right calls in all my GM-y might. I have an idea for a character though, so there's that.
I do have a few requirements though, even if I don't end up as GM. The alignment system is the same as the one for 3.5. And it's more of a fun, not quite serious RP, more along the lines of this: Let's Play Dungeons and Dragons Episode 1 Act I Basically, some serious moments, but sillier sheet is AOK.
And... that's it! Though behaving, all getting along, that's a requirement too, but hopefully that should go without saying. So, let's get some people in here!

Right, so since it's been a bit, I think I'm going to go ahead and bring out the fact that we have a Steam Group.
If you're planning on joining or have already joined, make sure to give us a shout out in this here thread, since it makes it easier for us to keep track of everybody. In fact, I'll try listing everyone in the OP once they announce themselves in the thread. So yeah, join up. Rules are same as the forum pretty much, no trolling, be nice, behave, etc.

Well, since Names brought it up in the Cross Effects OC discussion thread, and since there's a new game for the series (Etrian Odyssey Untold: Millennial Girl) coming out, I figured I'd create a thread for it.

Fanfiction / Write a Fanfic... if you DARE (The Dare Thread)

So yeah, I'll go ahead and start one of these then. The idea is that someone posts an idea for a fic to write (which constitutes the "dare"), and then after the fic is written, the person who asked for the dare has to write a fic in response to the person who replied to the dare according to their specifications. You can also dare someone specifically. However, they do not have to respond to the dare for sure.
Try to keep dares reasonable and avoid subject matter that is bashy or just plain horrible. Same goes with response dares. If you have a dare answered, please try to make sure you actually write a response fic in response as specified by the person who wrote the dare. (coughCherryLoveryoustillneedtowritethatonefromlasttimecough) Also, don't do a crappy job if you choose to reply to a dare. Especially to try to prompt someone to write something, especially something they don't want to write.
With that said, commence! I'll keep track of various dares and the progress there-of in the OP.

Role Playing / Mafia Game Organization Station

So yeah, if someone wants to try and set up a game of Mafia, this is the place to do so. This thread will also serve as an index for any past or currently running games. While a game is being set up, the classes for any game currently being set up will be here in the OP, along with the list of anyone currently trying to join.

Doujin Projects / Visual Novel Project

Alright, so, let's do a VN project together, because VNs are great and awesome and we should make our own.
So here's the rundown on things, and who's doing what. Once we designate someone (or multiple someones) for each role, their name(s) will appear next to the appropriate heading. Also, if we end up having multiple projects, instead of just putting the stats here, I'll just make this OP an index for all the currently running VN projects.

Basically, first off we need to decide on the nature of the project. Honestly, it sounds a bit odd, but I think an otome wouldn't be a bad idea. Bishojo-esque vns are a dime a dozen. We need something to separate us from the crowd, so to speak. Plus it's nice to have something that caters to the ladies for a change (I'm certainly not biased in any way in this regard. No sir.) Whether it's Type Moon based or not is also a matter for debate.
I may take the position of writer, though I'll leave that open for now too. I can also serve as an artist if we absolutely run out of options.
Other than that, take it away!

Video Games / The Diablo Megathread (I, II and III)

So in honor of Halloween coming up, I think starting up a thread about a thematically appropriate series of games is well... appropriate.
So yup, all three are fair game. ...Though I can only talk about the first two because I don't own III, but hey, doesn't stop anyone else from talking about it.
I've been playing II again recently and I'm having fun. Learning a bunch of stuff I didn't know when I was a wee little Alice either, including the joys of Runewords. So yeah, talk about experiences and such in here. Also, multiplayer arrangements are fair game in this thread to, for any of the three games.

Eh, while the forum is in it's infancy userbase wise necroing isn't such a big deal, I'm starting up a new thread anyway. Plus I wanted a designated megathread for sure, so I figured we'd start up a new thread in honor of X and Y just being released.
So yeah, anime adaptations, the main games and any spin off games, manga, the card game, etc, they're all fair game in here. If you want to ask people to trade with you or fight against you and things, that's cool too. Giving your friend codes and such is cool too.
I'll get the ball rolling with a certain dilemma I'm having. ...I just got X today and can't decide on a starter. I can't decide between Disco Frog and Fire Fox. Help meee.
