Thread for the most FABULOUS anime of this year.

Sorry, FSN anime, you won't beat it for the title if released this year.

Dio Brando is the best villain ever.

He is good, but out of Jojo villains I like Kira more. Maybe because he is aberration compared to other villains. No ambition, just desire to live a predictable life without anything interfering his daily routines... one which happened to be collecting new girlfriends. Even without ambition though he has paranoia that puts everyone maybe except Diavolo in the series to shame, and that's a feat since all JoJo villains are very thorough and predicting.

I wasn't a fan of Kira because he lacked the charisma to draw me in. Also Bites the Dust was a little overkill though interesting to see the protags try to counter. I just wonder how he basically already had a two in one stand package with sheer heart attack and killer queen.

I like Diavlo simply because he came packaged with the adorkable one known as Doppio. That and King Crimson OP.

Kira lacking charisma is on purpose. Hell, he strives to be as mundane looking as possible, for example he held back in the childhood during various competitions to get good, but not top places.

Yes he's a brilliant schemer and I enjoy his single minded determination but maybe it was the fact we went to the POV of Hataro (the kid who kept on getting Bites the dusted) that made me a little biased against him becasue I felt the kid's paranoia and fear.

I did love the Boy II Man fight. Epic rock paper scissors.

Can we like discuss the awesomeness of 'Murica's best president that they'll never have?

You got a point. But they'll never have better hair than Funny.

Forgive me for necroing this thread, but I figured with the release of season 2 it was the opportune time to bring this back. And the very first thing I have to say is, "I understand the decision to make Last Train Home the ending theme, but c'mon! No Holy Diver still!"

Anyways, I really liked Oingo's and Boingo's episode last week. The facial expressions Oingo makes while disguised as Jotaro are the best.

Joseph best Jojo though, even though I like Jotaro's group.  I'm a sucker for group dynamics like that.

I would say Josuke and Jolyne are my favorities. Best JoJos for me. It also helps that part 4 and part 6 are best written out of pre-Steel Ball Run JJBA.

It was really bizarre, my husband and I went to this glorified dirt mall in North Carolina.  They happened to have all of the original tankobons of Steel Ball Run there.  It was so weird.

In Japanese, I assume?

Yep.  Which was part of why it was so puzzling.  I mean, this was some dirt mall in the South where the illiteracy level is the highest in the United States and there was Japanese Jojo.

There was also Fist of the North Star in original Japanese too.

Now my friend's jokes that it's JoJo's Bara Adventure are close to the truth.

Just finished the first season of "Stardust Crusaders" last night.

I think its interesting that everyone in the party gets development but Jotaro really doesn't.  Polnareff has gotten a lot more development than Jotaro has.  Joseph is still best Jojo.

Kakyoin is love.

Now we move to season two and I finally get to see Iggy!

Jotaro gets actual development in part six where his shitty parenting is one of major points of the plot. His absence in Jolyne's life was one of major reasons why she gone delinquent and ended up in prison.

So he gets development when he's not the main character.  That's . . . wow.

But I mean, Joseph got all sorts of development in Battle Tendency.  Cesar, Lisa Lisa, Von Stromhiem, and Wammuu left their marks on him.  He'd grown up at the end of the arch.

Jotaro . . . hasn't really changed.  Star Platinum is still awesome though.

Generally in part six the cast gets more developed. Jolyne becomes more driven and resolute, Foo Fighters more and more human in behavior (a Stand of plancton possessing a woman's body is legit waifu material) and Annasui less deranged and more responsible. There is another character that gets good development, but talking about it is too spoilerish.
