PLAYER NO LONGER WISHES TO RUB BUTTS WITH THIS CHARACTER

Name: Ali “Avvie” Avdol
Race: Human (American of Egyptian and Italian mixed Ancestry)
Age: 20
Height: 182 cm
Weight: 70 kg
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
Appearance:Looks a lot like original universe Avdol but with a few features reminiscent of William A. Zeppeli. He wears an orange dress shirt and a black fall jacket with a very threaded look, has the words “Screw Destiny” on the back. He wears a blue baseball cap with a white eagle pattern on the front and tends to wear it forward. He wears Khaki jeans and has a simple gold chain as well as a few gold rings adorning his hands with a silver watch on his wrist. His hair is straighter than his canon counterparts and his skin is fairer due to change in backstory. He is shorter and scrawnier than Avdol was in canon due to lack of development in youth due to the stand draining some of his energy.

Stand Appearance:
Spoiler for Hiden:
The stand has several thematic inspirations and takes insipration from a Doll, a Mummy and a spider primarily. The stand is not fully capable of manifesting outside of Avdol yet and can only bring out the Spidery/ human head and several 4 arms in total. The colour scheme is black, khaki and orange and the strings it spreads out follow these three colours. The arms that can come out at once is 4. These arms are variable as they have the metallic skeleton like features of the first form but multiple modes.
In their normal position the string from the stand is wrapped around the hands and they look like a combination between a cloth doll’s hands or a mummy’s. When unwrapped the hands either act collapse into a full straight line like spider legs, turn into a four pointed cross like a marrionette strings controller (for added effect and control some strings will connect to the hands while in that position) looking much like the hand of the stand The Grateful  Dead, and finally have a mode that resembles a normal metallic skeleton. The forehead has a bunch six buttons on it in the place of where eyes would be on a spider and a human eyes in the center with button’s that can act as eyelids to them. The mouth has some metallic looking pincers that are just for show. The stand has two forms, full spider or humanoid form. In full spider form it lies close to the ground and makes all strings abandon it’s arms to wrap around it’s lower body to resemble a spider’s abdomen. It has 4 arms and 4 legs all of which act like legs at during this form. The legs are in their rigid froms or their puppet string forms and the stand crouches low. It’s legs are much like it’s arms with bing thin and needle like skeletons that can collapse into spider legs. It has 6 arms and 2 legs but tends to have it’s legs wrapped around Avdol due to it’s clinginess.

Scale: Mortal/Servant (Servant scale when noted)

Personal stats

Strength: D (Goes up to E rank in the servant scale when using the ripple and gains a plus modifier when used against vampires)
Agility: B
Speed: C
Magic Resistance: D (Servant scale)

His Stand

Strength: C (Servant scale)
Agility: B (Servant scale)
Speed: B (Servant scale)

Magic Ability:

Stand “One With You”: The stand extends strings that can channel the ripple. It can grab things and he wraps it around his arms to increase strength partially. The ability to create spiritual copies of the affected objects and manipulate them. They are tactile and physical as the real ones except the copies are monochrome to the colour of the wire that drew the copy out. A wire is attached to the orignal and “pulls out” a copy of it from the original.
He may sense things through his copies and in general his copies act much like an object that has a bound stand in it would (ala Strength and Wheel of Fortune) being able to manipulate them physically and even enhance them slightly. If he starts the copying phase yet doesn’t pull the copy out he can directly possess the object. This ability does not work on things with wills of their own.
Hamon:
Ali is not a very strong user of the ripple. He can use it to reinforce himself and make certain organic matrials react but it is an overall weak effect. He is able to augment his strenght to E rank in servant scale with it and though damage reaches C rank when used against vampires)
Other Abilities: Basic swordsmanship and some ability with knives.
Displays average marksmanship at best.

Equipment: A decorated yet effective combat knife/dagger he took from the temple and a 44. caliber revolver with 4 speedloaders and full cylinders.

Origin:
Spoiler for Hiden:
In this universe Avdol’s father moved to the America’s and married a natural Stand user he met there. They got along pretty well and were expected to have child but that in and of itself brought tragedy. The mother Roberta Avdol nee Zeppelli died in during complications and the mother used her stand (“Sugar We’re going Down” (Fall Out Boy Song), when injured it produces increased energy that can improve physical capabilities (think of it like Spartacus’s NP minus the growing and dragon power also it is incapable of healing the received injuries with the power (quite apporopriate for a Zeppeli no?) and gave it to the kid so he’d be guaranteed to survive.
Sadly she did not foresee that her child was unable to handle that spiritual overflow and thus the child was cursed with a health condition much like Holly Joestar. Avdol’s father (Muti Avdol; first name means giver) in much distress cared for him. Muti searched far and wide to find a solution to the problem of his son’s illness and finally discovered the Ripple. He went to the temple in desperation and they took in Muti as a disciple. Muti kept on treating his son using the ripple but never gave up on the idea of finding cure to his son's illness as all his ripple did was treat the physical symptoms. In his research he found out about stands and after having gained enough experience with the ripple to treat Avdol without help travelled to America to reach join the Speed Wagon Foundation as he heard of how they searched for all things supernatural and was curious as to whether they had a cure. Sadly the organization didn’t have cure but Muti now an experienced ripple user joined them in their hunt for the supernatural. Muti was trying to find out why his son was afflicted with such a curse and truly discover the reasons behind stands. While young Ali was integrating himself into the american culture as the treatments if frequent could help him function as normal child if a little sickly. Muti and Ali visited Italy periodically to reach the ripple master’s temple. Muti continued to polish his technique while Ali tried in vain to get the instructors to teach him. All they could say was that before he could learn the ripple he would experience great loss (remember the Zeppelli prophecy) and that he didn’t have much talent for it anyways.
This life continued for many years until Ali was 16 years old and visiting the temple with his father. Unfortunately Muti fell victim to a stand user during this most recent visit. First they came across the Stand “Rolling Stones” and having narrowly dodged death Muti was still doomed, a few days later a stand user who normally just mugged people. That was until this stand user had found a stone mask washed ashore. His stand “Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet” (band name) controlled darkness and created shadow puppets that he could control. He primarily used this to steal peoples belongings and rob his way through life but after he found the stone mask things got violent. He feeling overconfident decided to mug a gangster who unfortunately saw him hiding in the corner shot at him before incapacitation. This splashed blood on the mask he wore to both disguise himself as he wanted to gain reputation as the “Stone Masked Mugger”. This triggered his vampirism and let him to become a serial killer who due to his stand could stalk the streets at any time. This mugger turned vampire had set his sights on Muti Avdol as he looked like a fit and healthy specimen to devour and try turning into a zombie. The vampire and Hamon user clashed as the son watched on terrified and unable to help. The father won out as during the newborn Vampire’s attempt at absorbing Muti he left himself open to Muti’s Overdrive. This didn’t mean that Muti was left unscathed as the shadows that attacked him were fast and deadly and even with the Ripple’s healing the wounds were critical.

Ali tried his best to get Muti to the temple but it was for not. In his last moments as Ali carried him in vain, Muti Avdol gifted his son his last ripple and thus the temple’s prophecy of loss came true. Though in this sacrifice was glimmer of hope, Ali gained strength to his soul from that ripple, enough that he no longer suffers as Holly Kujo did with her Stand. Ali now is on a quest to discover the secrets behind Stands and Vampirism as well as trying his hardest to prove fate wrong as while he was now free of his spiritual weakness he still has a long way to go before mastering his dual legacy of ways of Hamon and Stands. Ali trained for some time at the temple and made very little headway in his abilities only gaining the ability use a shorts blade and generate a low field of ripple energy. His stand while no longer harmful to him had yet to gain full obedience and would let out strings to feel the world against his will. In his search for ansers Ali looked for clues on the creation of Stands. In his quest he ran across a corpse part and fought against an AU!Vampire Funny Valentire while trying to defend it.. He was thrown into the nexus during the battle.

Weakness: Disrupting Avdol's breathing hampers both his Hamon ability and the Stand. In water he can only use it as long as he can hold his breath (up to human's highest possible capacity).
He himself is not personally very fit due to the stand wearing away at him for partially for a good chunk of his life and he is still working on coordination. His endurance isn’t also very great.

Likes: Researching, Learning new things, charity

Dislikes: Fate, getting lost, greed, the power mad

Yeah I haven't played in a loooonnng time. So I figure we just make it official and kill off the one character I entered and posted once with into the rejected character sheets thread. Yeah sorry about not being too active, I had a lot planned but well things just didn't work out as expected. So banish my PC and let him rest.

I hear stuff about it being the next day. Are we skipping directly to the night part so the vampires won't be limited by sunlight or are we going to dawn where the sun in rising and their skin burns?

Anyone around here good at healing? My guy is kind of wandering around like a half dead hobo (which he kind of is). Wondering who I could crash into to get the info dump about what's going on and maybe heal him up?

Kurogami, if you don't post soon, I think I'm going to have to just go ahead and reply to Mil's post. I've been waiting nearly a week already.
Well there is that 24 hour rule so you were totally free to do this a while ago. but I understand the hesitance in a desire not to step on anyone's toes.

(OOC: This was delayed due to exams)
Avi fell for long time. Well it felt like a long time probably due to periods of sensory overload and sensory isolation that the gap between worlds had. Avi thought he had reached his end when the vampire's rabbit like stand smashed the table directly over his prone and bleeding body. Instead of an impact it was as if he disappeared in the gap between the table and the floor. As he started falling he heard the vampires final words to him, "I'll leave your life in Fate's hands, though not here, I have plans here."

When Avi stopped falling he was not met with a crash, at least not a heavy one. The rational part of his mind that would have explained away such a ludicrous lack of impact due to the strang nature of dimensional travel, at the moment however that part wasn't working and all he could do was writhe in pain at the blow his body had received.

Unknown to Avi it seemed that the strange place known as Nexus City was the destination the hands of Fate sent him to. As he got up and looked around he saw massive skyscraperes and a bustling metropolis.

"Hah... Hah... Okay, far from the temple..hah... hah... wounded....," he said between harsh breaths. And then a look of horror dawned on his face, "The vampire has all the corpse parts."

With that in his mind he searched on to see if he could find somone to heal him and anyone who could help him figure out what got him in the middle of this metropolis and if he was really lucky a way to stop a powerful vampire with all the corpse parts.

You mentioned he has some capability with projection I understand his dad had the tailor made circuits for that so I can let that slide (but on the other hand I believe Nasuverse magical capabilities are kind of randomized as I don't exactly see Rin and Sakura being to similar to Tokiomi beyond the direct crest inherited stuff) so he may have some better affinity that most magi I do have to wonder one thing.
Shirou's projection is only useful because he has the data perfectly stored in his soul so he can make detailed copies. Other people even if they are good at the reproduction process of projection don't exactly have the blueprints detailed enough to make anything of quality. Everything projected would honestly be up to the quality of what Shirou makes in his shed. Interesting as a magical concept with how long they last but all functionally useless in their original task beyond superficial appearance. So Mike what's the point of the projection skill?
Projection is actually a common skill for mages so the basic kind can go without saying I believe but the specialness of Shirou's type is exclusive to his soul and circuits.

I thought shirou's reinforcing worked by basically making a few swords pop up in his body and he made those strong as he could. That's why rider kicking him in the gut (or was it being kicked down a building) caused him basically to accidentally impale himself. His reinforcement is kind of a weird extension of his projection if you look at it that way as he's just projection some strong swords under his skin.

Since magic is just a fuel source and you are limiting yourself to a preindustrial revolution technology level what would teh difference to humanities ability in the place if they were to not have magic fuel and used some other fuel?

Would they have similar tech levels yet operate on a slightly larger scale due to greater ease of fuel access?

How do deities get domains? Do they ever overlap?

Always nice to create a world. Are the higher level spirits capable of generating their own energy or do they just have a stockpile of energy from the sacrifices? How do the sacrifices contribute magic to the "gods" are there souls that are magically converted? Does the act of sacrifice generate it conceptually? or do they have to sacrifice nature spirits as they already contain and harness mana?
Do humans normally have mana and are unable to use it or do they just completely lack it?
Do to the ability of beings to ascend with enough power I assume that beings don't exactly have maximum capacities in how much energy they can store so is their general ranking based upon how much they can gather at a time?
Is the planet's total power amount limited? Does it naturally generate it?
What affects are expresed by a creature that can naturally channel the energy? Is it integral to their biology? Can they learn various spells or are they limited to a small set of abilities native to their species?

How would this magitech operate would it operate like normal technology except using magic as an alternative fuel source? Are devices typically of one functionality? Have they been able to harness magic for manufacturing?

What are the limits of this magical energy and how would it be manipulated? Would it actuallize thoughts, would it work off of formulas, are there different types of magical energy?

While we can debate about who was at fault originally endlessly I'll just say that we were both kind of embittered as this is a topic that seems to be close to both of us.
I was just trying to explain my view point but I assume I could be less condescending about it when I did.

Do you know about conversational context?
You made that statement about how Inafune never weighed in on classic's fate after I made a statement about the fact that it had been stated Zero never killed off the classic cast and that I agreed with that statement. The "Actually" at the front of your statement made it seem like you were trying to correct me since it was a comment directly after mine. Thus due to the conversational context it seemed like you were trying to refute my statement that "Zero never killed the classic cast and the creator supports this" and the only reason you would refute such a statement would be if you felt that Zero actually did do it. Thus I gave you the links and told you to stop clinging to such an argument.

I reference your "grammar disorder" simply because that would most likely have been the thing to trigger another one of these frequent misunderstandings. So before you tell me to learn to read may you please kindly learn to write first?

Sorry that must have been your mysterious grammar issue that you will never decide to reveal the cause of acting up again. Must have caused a few misunderstandings.
Here's how the convo went from my perspective:
I saw some discussion about Zero killing the classic cast off and gave my two cents on teh issue. I said the creator said he didn't and the despite the fact that it makes most sense that Zero killed the classic cast due to the fact that the creator said otherwise I stated I'd relent that he didn't. You came up and said King (I've heard Inafking as a nickname to the creator and assumed you were refering to Keiji Inafune) didn't say anything about how they died. I was discussing the possibility of Zero not killing the classic cast and since you came up with that comment it seemed like you were refuting the idea that the creator said Zero didn't kill them. So I provided you the sources to where the creator said Zero didn't kill the classic cast off.

I am a big megaman fan so I tend to get passionate about this stuff.

Same interview but here. Two links to the same interview that says that Zero never killed the class series characters.
Now stop trying to act like he did.

I think a Metroid RP in the Vein of Metroid Prime Hunters would be pretty cool. Everyone could create an alien (even the species) the tech they are outfitted with and we could all just try to explore the ruins of a dead galactic civilization. (there are a lot of those in metroid).
Each of us would have our specialties and we'd probably have modular equipment. We could explore the planet as we would hunt down some bosses and even find upgrades and so forth. Would be interesting to play.

On a more Megaman note:
I can see Zero slaughtering the Classic Megaman Cast I'd like it to be otherwise to be honest. The creator said Zero didn't do it and while it would make sense for Zero to have done it I'll relent to Canon for this instance.
