I think I'm actually going to get the game, preordered and everything. Me and FF XIII enjoy a weird relationship, where I don't like the game and constantly point out its flaws to myself but I play through it multiple times anyway with a smile on my face. But yeah, it having a good story and a perfected gameplay system together would definitely be the best. I'm not a fan of DLC myself and didn't get any for XIII-2, because I like buying my games only once.

And hey, XIII-2 improved on gameplay from XIII, so hopefully the trend will continue. The footage I've seen certainly seems to point towards it, at least! Though it doesn't really feel too final fantasy-ish, to be honest. No party? :(

Have you seen the some of footage yourself?

Man, how did I forget to mention the soundtrack to FFV? Battle on the big bridge, Exdeath, Neo exdeath... They're all crazy amazing. But then, all the older FF games all had incredibly amazing and remarkable music.

How could you say that about Ultros? He's such a swell guy, he lets little Relm paint a portrait of him! Uncle ulty is so sweet. He has no loose screws! Only loose arms. They flail about a lot.
But yeah, Ultros is definitely somewhat crazy. And the bad jokes, they never stop. Even Gilgamesh can only ham to a point, but Ultros has no limit XD

Will you be getting the new XIII-3, Lightning's return? I know a lot of people didn't like XIII, and XIII-2 didn't fix all of the problems (Even though it was pretty good in that aspect), but the gameplay footage I saw of Lightning returns makes it all look so good.

I'd have to say that VI is my absolute favorite, if I were to look at the storyline and mechanics and everything. But V rates right next to it, because despite its flaws it's just so fun. Story, gameplay, characters (oh lord, the characters), they're all just so fun. It helps that V was my first final fantasy.

I've also played IV (ranked #3 for me), both tactics games, XIII and XIII-2 (I played through them complaining about stuff, but I enjoyed myself all the same) and I & II(GBA version).

And yeah, I totally understand deleting and playing again over and over. IV, V and VI have done this to me so many times, and I love the games just as much every time I play them.

Ultros vs Gilgamesh in a ham dialogue contest, who wins?

So, you like Final Fantasy.

If I may, which is your favorite?
