Well, although I have been doing some artwork to the side, mostly commissions and doodling, it's been a while since I've done some fanart. So, here we are!
Spoiler for Large Image:

Well, it's been a while since I've done an update. ^^;
Admittedly, while I've done the occasional sketch and such, I haven't finished any major art projects. It doesn't help I've found myself in a bit of a block lately. Although I do have an FGO-related thing in the works, I thought I might as well post some of these practice sketches I did a few weeks ago.

They are all based on photos I found around online, and with the exception of the last one and sorta the third one, I tried replicating the pose and clothes as much as possible. Yes, eye-referencing, I know; I take no credit for these other than practice.

First picture is directly based on the photo, but for the others, I tried using a random character for each, while still adapting the pose and clothing. The third one I obviously changed the outfit to the character's, while the last one is more original, since I only based the outfit on the picture, but the pose is new.
Spoiler for "Sketches":

So! This semester, I joined my college’s illustration club. As such,  nowadays I tend to sketch and practice stuff a bit more often. Few of it  is noteworthy, though. ^^;
Spoiler for Hiden:

Still, I thought these were good  enough to show. Just practicing traditional coloring, inking and a  somewhat different artstyle. Though, the digital sketch is probably  going to be a WIP, since I do hope to use it to practice digital  painting. Who knows. ^^;

Edit: Kinda forgot to add one last sketch. Fixed now! ^^;

It has been quite a while since I last came here, but I'm glad to see that your art is still looking fantastic. Loving the changes in contrast and the addition of shadows with your colour drawings
Thanks. ^^
Yeah, it's been quite a while since I've done anything. However, I did take on the Inktober challenge this month. Pretty fun, even if I had to catch up quickly due to me discovering it late.
Now, here be all my sketches, compiled into on single image for ease of view. Enjoy their varying quality and amateurish inking:

General Discussion / Re: Hair colours

Ultimately hair colour means less than zero, look at evangelion.
Actually, I think in Evangelion it did have a purpose. Rei's blue hair is supposed to stand out, from our point of view, since she was supposed to feel unnatural to the audience. Pale skin, red eyes, blue hair...everyone else in the cast has a natural hair color (Ritsuko if I remember correctly was supposed to be dyed, and you can make a case that Misato's hair is supposed to represent black). Did it have any purpose in the grand scheme of the plot? Maybe not, but at least it made sense from a design point of view (plus, it's still aesthetically pleasing...even though that still goes against the intended purpose)

It's me again! Boy, has it been a while. IRL stuff, plus artist block and other issues aside, it's good to finally update with content, even if some of it is very old. =w=
Let's start with some old Smogon art I haven't posted here.
Spoiler for Hiden:

Now for something a bit more recent, there's some doodles I made a couple days ago, as well as my design for Smogon's Create-A-Pokemon 20 (made it 16/31...that's gotta count for something, right?).
Spoiler for Here be doodles:
Spoiler for CAP 20 - Squid Battleship:

And finally, something I tried drawing last night. I wanted to try something videogame-y, so I went to listen to some game music, namely Puyo Puyo (no idea why), and started drawing to see what came out. This is the result.
Spoiler for Lunatic Sorceress - Any similarities to Touhou are coincidental I swear:

OK, I can't believe I have to repeat myself, but, there you have it.
Any other post like this, either in this thread or any Lantz thread, will be considered an infraction. If you have nothing worthwhile to say, just stay away from the threads. It's better for all of us involved.

OK, might as well act preemptively here. Let's not start any problems now; and Magos, let's not have a repeat of the same old, same old. Just leave the thread, it's better for all our healths.

OK, OK, enough people, knock it off. If you don't have any real business in this thread, please just leave.

So I'm finally out of college, and must now endure the horrible process of job-hunting. Again.
In the meantime, did I ever tell you I joined Smogon? Well, if I didn't, I joined Smogon. And I've done a few arts for them, though for now, I'll post these two banner arts I made, because my thread dying and dropping from its position makes me sad.

I need to draw more.

Well, I've worked on it as much as I could, tried adding all the corrections the teacher asked...and she's still not satisfied with it. Frankly, I'm out of ideas for this one. I could ask for feedback here, but unfortunately, I can't post the full-sized version (CMYK and A3, way too big for imgur) for better feedback. Alas, I guess this will be the final version:
Spoiler for Hiden:
And also, started working on this a few days ago:

 Here's the image so far:

I still have to do some corrections given by my teacher and some touching up.

So...remember how I said the above^ was gonna be my class project? Well, complications arose because I suck at doing clean scanned lineart, and thus I decided to re-do it in Photoshop. That said, I wanted some practice first, because Photoshop. One thing led to the other, and, well...

I guess I'll be doing a different character for my class project.

So, I have to start working on my final project for Photoshop class. We were given a choice between one of three assignments: Graphic Design, Digital Illustration, and Photo Illustration. And since I'm horribly overconfident on my skills, I chose Digital Illustration. So, I have to take this:

(Image not to actual scale)
And paint over it until it looks pretty. Without SAI; Photoshop only. I mean, it's a good skill to have. And a challenge. We'll see how this turns out eventually.
