So I'm hearing nothing but good things about this movie so far. I want to see this really badly, but haven't gotten the chance yet. ^_^"

This movie is fantastic.  I saw it last weekend and it's the best movie I've seen all year.  Yes, I enjoyed it more than "Star Trek".

It's a movie that you have a blast from start to finish, and plus Ron Perlman.

It was awesome. The effects and robots were beautiful, the action was incredible, the characters were good, and the plot, while not outstanding, was still solid, and for a movie like this, come on. It delivered. I only wish the other robots could have gotten some more action. But, it still is an incredible movie.

Don't know why some people complain so much on technicalities and science and physics when it's a movie about Giant Robots fighting Giant Monsters.

Why don't the giant robot, kaiju and boat buckle under their own weight? Because it's awesome, and otherwise we wouldn't have a giant robot using boat-fu against a giant moster, that's why. 8)
And aside from the stuff they hand-wave because of awesome, they still get some stuff right.

And besides, that's no reason to not enjoy the movie. :)

I heard that the characters were one note stereotypes and they focused on them for too long. The former is giant monster fair as standard by if the latter is true then I'll wait for DVD.

as for science Mike you need to realize that physics has no place here and that while not present Godzilla king of monsters long ago beat up physics for talking shit about him thus giant monster movies have been exempt from all physics since the nineteen sixties

Well, yeah, I think the whole concept of giant monsters is somewhat unphysical....
