The US advances. England goes home.

Suck it Mike.

Only because Portugal played utterly terribly against the Germans and then managed to get their act together for the next two games....

USA USA USA.

You're not even American. And, who exactly was it that knocked Poland out...?

1) I don't remember. A Polish player is in German team anyway. Podolski is 100 % Polish guy, just plays for Germans because it pays off more.

2) I like USA. I don't think unconditional alliance with them is beneficial for my country, but I like their culture and literature.

3) Does it even matter?

Anyway, it's good both teams qualified since I like Germans and USA alike. I don't like German language because I find it too hard to learn properly, but I like German culture.

Well, you were in England's qualifying group....

Well, to be fair, a) I'm sure there are English players still in other teams and b) I suspect a large chunk of the players still left in the competition play in England.

Fair enough.

Honestly, I don't like the US as a country at all, hence why I like seeing them lose (well, along with the general "not wanting friends to take the piss" thing...).

Mike, I never pay attention to Polish team until they miraculously qualify to competitions.

I forgot to add I have relatives in USA (no where else outside Poland), so that's incentive to support USA too.

Clearly my complete and total apathy towards the whole endeavor is why the USA has made it so far. :P

I propose Polish players grow mullets, in 1974 and 1982 mullets were standard for our representation.
